Memory Cards have become an important tool for people to store applications, media files and personal files. It's also very problematic because of frequent reading. When the memory card is damaged, it can only be repaired by formatting and other methods, resulting in loss of data. Is there any other solution? Of course, the following is to introduce the ultimate method to restore damaged memory card. There are five parts in total:
1. The memory card is damaged and needs to be formatted
From the bottom left corner of the computer desktop, click "Start"> "Run"(or use the shortcut key: Win + R).
Then enter "CHKDSK G:/f " in the operation. The letter "G" refers to the SD card that we see in the computer. Different computers are different. Please refer to the actual computer. The letter "f" is the repair parameter.
Then click "OK" below or press the “Enter” button to start the repair.
After completion of repair, right click SD card (Attributes - Tools - Began to check). Tick the two options of "Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors”. As following picture shows :
2. The memory card cannot be formatted
It is likely to encounter the problem that SD card is unable to be formatted in daily use, whether on computer or mobile phone. This is generally the case where the system folder in the SD card is infected by virus or damaged. Solution to this problem is simple. Connect the SD card to computer with a card reader. Enter the SD card directory, and choose to manually remove the system folder. However, this operation will appear error, and there must be a strange file cannot be deleted. What we need to do is to eliminate the strange file. First check the folder options to show all hidden files.
In the system directory, select this strange file, and then change the unfamiliar file suffix to our common file types, such as txt, mp3, etc. Strange file could be deleted, and go on the final formatting again.

3. Unable to delete the file of the memory card
Method one: you can choose to create a new file or folder (what can’t be deleted) with the same name and then copy the file to the target directory. Cover the original files and then try to delete them.
Method two: Another reason that the file in SD card cannot be deleted may be that the SD card file structure is damaged. So we can choose to repair SD card by means of disk scanning tool. Run the tool and select the "fix file" and "bad sector" option before scan. And then try to delete files once the scan is complete.
Method three: When encountering file cannot be deleted, we can also choose to use other software to delete, such as WinRAR compression software. Right click the file you want to delete, and select "Add to the compressed file”. In the dialog box that pops up, select "Delete the source file". Optionally name the zip file name, and finally click OK.
4.Forget the password of memory card on phone. How to get it back?
Use the management software like file man to find the C/system/mmcstore file, and change it to mmcstore.txt. Then you can open it, and see the password. If you formatted the phone before, this file is missing.
5. How to recover data after the memory card is formatted
Step 1: download RePicvid Recovery and open it. Select the appropriate options based on your situation, such as recovering deleted photos.

Step 2: the software will require scanning the remedial drives. After the drive displays, select a full scan. And if there is no memory card, reconnect the card reader.
Step 3: after the scan is completed, the directory recovery option appears. It can be selected according to the specific file types and formats. For example, choose JPG, which is usually the type of pictures. The following step is much easier, just choose a folder on the computer to store recovered data.
Remember: Format the memory card on the computer with FAT. Otherwise, the memory card cannot be recognized on the phone.
